The Board of Directors meets annually at the Sacred Harp Headquarters and Museum in Carrollton, Georgia [above], to review current business and adopt plans for the future. Periodic meetings are held, usually at singings, with proper notice.
The Sacred Harp Headquarters and Museum at Oak Grove Road, Carrollton, Georgia, was built on land donated by the Denney Family. This building contains a large meeting room, offices, guest bedroom and bath, kitchen, and room for historic songbooks and memorabilia.
Charles Woods has been cataloguing and arranging a growing collection of Sacred Harp and other Shape Note songbooks, histories, and recent academic research, minutes, periodicals, and scrapbooks. Anyone who wants to preserve irreplaceable books is encouraged to donate them to the Museum for safe-keeping. A fireproof storage cabinet to house the rarest items was added recently.

VISITING THE SACRED HARP HEADQUARTERS AND MUSEUM
The Sacred Harp Headquarters and Museum makes a lovely vacation site. Here, you and your family can tour singular, quaint rooms housing extremely rare Sacred Harp books and other songbooks from history. Explore the library and spend some time looking over our books about Sacred Harp history! Listen to and watch audio and video recordings of hundreds of singings -- that favorite song that never gets sung at your neighborhood singings is likely to be on record here! See detailed, well-preserved scrapbooks containing newspaper and magazine clippings from Sacred Harp events through the ages: a forgotten relative may be here, waiting for you to come read about their activities. Don't forget history and genealogy.
Memories live at the Sacred Harp Museum -- and hold songs you can carry into tomorrow.
TO FIND THE MUSEUM:
In Carrollton, take U.S. 27 South out of the city and past the 166 By-Pass 2 miles to Oak Grove Road, on your right. Turn right onto Oak Grove Road and the Sacred Harp Headquarters and Museum building and land will be on your left. We look forward to your coming to see us. Bring the family. A Ramada Inn Hotel is conveniently close to our Museum, on U.S. 27 South just outside the Perimeter, on your left.
